After nearly six months of work, Southern Runner is BACK HOME. We're bigger and better then ever, having doubled in size and added tons of new stock.

We understand technical footwear, apparel, and equipment — and are eager to share that expertise. We know that fitting a customer for shoes is an individual process and we are happy to spend as much time as necessary to find the perfect shoe for every runner and walker who takes the time to visit our store.  Southern Runner uses a visual examination of each customer’s ankle structure in order to find you the shoe that fits your specific foot strike.  We eschew traditional foot measures, finding the "thumbs-width" method to work most effectively.  You'll have the opportunity to walk or run indoors and outdoors (if you choose) before settling on the perfect shoe for you.

Our inventory represents the best technical products available; we strive to match the best fit and function to each of our customer’s needs. Above all, our service is enthusiastic, friendly, and respectful to runners and walkers of all levels of experience.

The store has tons of information about what's happening in in our community and region.  You'll find a current race calendar as well as entry forms for both local and national races.  We keep an up-to-date contact list for local running clubs and are generally knowledgable about upcoming events.  We also have two televisions (one of them large screen, for football season) and a lounge area to sit back and talk running while you stay a while.
